Metaal Recycling Utrecht (G. van Doorn) has been a leader in collecting, processing and valorizing metal waste for decades. From small beginnings to a modern company with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and customer orientation. We believe that metal recycling is not only profitable, but also makes a crucial contribution to a circular economy.

Our history in a nutshell

• Started small
  In 1974, founder G. van Doorn started with a simple shed of about 300 m² on the Anthoniedijk in Utrecht, with one forklift and a lot of ambition.

• Growth & relocation
  As demand grew, so did our organization. In 2002, we moved to our current location on Groenewoudsedijk, with a larger site and more capacity.

• Current Facilities
  Today we have:

  • A warehouse of approximately 1,200 sq. ft.

  • An outdoor area of some 5,200 m² for sorting, loading/unloading and storage

  • Modern equipment to process metal streams efficiently and cleanly
