General purchasing conditions

There has been a change in the industry regarding the acceptance of batteries. Partly due to this change, we are forced to draft our acceptance policy as follows.

The following (hazardous) elements and/or materials will not be accepted:

• Lithium batteries and/or accumulators
• Other non-lead batteries
• Asbestos-containing or asbestos-suspicious materials
• Radioactive material (treatment according to 'Decree/Regulation on detection of radioactive contaminated scrap')
• Ammunition and explosives
• Oily materials
• Materials containing hazardous and/or toxic substances
• Fire boxes and/or safes
• Closed objects / pressure vessels / gas cylinders
• Non-drained objects supplied with liquids/oils
• Sandwich panels (polystyrene/styrofoam/stone wool - PIR/PUR)
• Scrap from incinerator/waste incineration
• Tires coming from truck/passenger car/fork trucks/etc.

MRU is entitled to deduct (or charge) the following amounts from the agreed price if the cargo offered includes the following:

The following materials may be accepted only by agreement:

• Condensers and heat exchangers, if empty and provided with a cleaning certificate
• Transformers, if stripped of environmentally harmful substances and provided with a cleaning certificate or PCB-free certificate
• Oil tanks, if supplied with a cleaning certificate and open manhole (for inspection purposes)
• Chromium-6 contaminated steel scrap, if delivered according to the applicable procedure

Should it become apparent during or after receipt of a delivery that the material supplied does not meet these acceptance conditions, the supplier may be held liable for all resulting costs.
